Gawd~! It's been so long since someone actually updated this page.
Revive it, people~!

I'm finally free during these last few days of my semester break, and I decided to stroll along blogs and forums which I left some time back then. And I'm pretty much surprised that MGS Band hasn't been updating stuff on the forum and this blog. Uh..I personally think it's a really good medium of communication and networking - keeping all the members updated of what's going on in the club and stuff like that. So, give it a thought of reviving these pages perhaps?

To MGS band...
i just watched ur formation video...i would comment it as good job!!! i saw ur effort, ur love and passion for music...i believe, u can do more in the future...MGS band is much different compared to the band i last seen..the one in MGS's mini concert years ago...Good Job to the committees..a different glory in every committees...i always thought MGS band will be closed soon...but i left school 4 years ago in 2005...haha...we the seniors always dreamed to sell the instruments and have buffet with the earnings...LOL...

I did not plan to post anything on this blog today actually. But I accidentally came to this site from my Blogger dashboard and it triggered me to write on something. I know that Ai Ling and a few others visited the band on Friday. I was invited to join the visit too but too bad, I have very important papers coming in a few days' time; Biology and Physics. Since the day I passed down my very meaningful post in secondary school which is School Band President 2007/2008, I had quite a number of regrets actually. Due to the not so appropriate AGM (less than a week before SPM trial), the transition of power from 2007/2008 board to 2008/2009 board was surely very not formal and not proper. I had a lot of things to pass down to my successors and I had a lot of things to tell to all the juniors actually - being the typical Tan Kok Yen. So I seriously still have a pile of words in my heart that i have to spill out. But obviously, I am not doing it here. I wish to get a chance to be back with you girls in band one day to officially enclose my transition of power. Because compared to last year's briefing, duty coordinating and all, I think this year's transition lacked a lot of these. I do not hope the new board to have grieves in them because I need you girls to understand that sometimes, there are a lot of things that we need mutual understanding within the members, especially among the committee. Not long after leaving the board, I had random people in school who approached me to ask about a particular rumour, gossip or whatever - you name it. At the first approach, I felt "entertained" because it was indeed a very fresh news! I was busy with my preparation for SPM and for leaving my precious secondary school when a news about me aroused in school. I definitely found it hilarious. However, as weeks passed and I am already in the midst of finishing my battle in SPM, one of the members of our very own beloved band, asked me whether the rumour was true. The idea of having rumours revolving on bad relationship between a member of the band and myself is surely the last thing that hit me when I left the band heavy-heartedly. I see it as a deformity. It is ugly. It is a no-no thing in a new committee. I am seriously disappointed as the 2007/2008 board had struggled so much to eliminate politics in band but once the board was dismissed, the "malignant cells" spread. Have you forgotten my last words that I emphasized again and again in my out-going speech? "No matter what, be united and remember to be tough"

Sorry about the picture. I don't have any picture under band other than this. I know it's my fault for deleting it. Slap me. Wondering, when will everyone gather again after the form 5 retirement? Just pondering or maybe I'm missing it ? Competition, Marching, Morning exercise, or even the good-looking Mr.Goh and Mr.Lau ? Ever since the form 5 retirement, the forum is inanimate. Nevertheless, I believe when time approaches, the forum will grow. It's SPM now, I just don't want to see the blog is dead. Anyone still wants to visit the band after SPM ? Maybe.. no one.

MGS Anthem for THE BAND!

Kiki asked about the school anthem I arranged for the school band, which I passed to the band on the AGM. She said that she wants to play that arrangement. Hmm.... All I told her was that we can only come back and see the next generation of members perform it next year or something.

Anyway, I really do hope that the new generation will be able to perform the arrangement during official functions in school. This will indirectly bring up the name of the band! Yea... better do as this is my main objective.

Besides the band, I also presented a copy of the documentation and the CD (prepared by Yin Sian) to the principal, Puan Hajah Nabsiah bt Bakar, the ex-teacher advisor of MGS Band, Puan Jamunarani a/p Krishnasamy, and also SMK (Perempuan) Methodist Klang.

Puan Jamuna approached me the other day. She said that she will push for it next year. So... hooray! There is at least some chances of performing the arrangement with the backing of a teacher.

So, I really really hope that the new generation of MGS Band will be able to perform the school anthem soon. I am putting hope on you people, yea.

The Band's Cat

I personally think the cat loves band so much. But it scares off the juniors. So there goes the euphonium senior called Yin Sian save the world. She saved the small kids by making the cat move away from them. KokYen, you should grant me a title for saving the juniors you know! As you can see, the cat is wearing a paper-hat made by the professional trombonist, Kit Teng and the euphonium senior,YinSian. Not forgetting the cat wears napoleon too. Whoa.. Look at the sexiest cat in the world. She's acting cool. She looks like going for a war. Anyway, she's pregnant and I guess she enjoy the band's performance. I'm trying to keep her warm since she's pregnant. Anyway, I don't think she's pregnant and I do think she's gaining lots of weight. Maybe she eat too much of fish and birds. I think the cat is now afraid of me. Today, the band.... Well, you see. MGS Band is lacked of band member. So, please attend band practices when there's practices!
